Terms of Use
Last revised August 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of mentorteaching.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you have questions, contact work@laclear.us.
Educational information, not district policy or professional advice
Mentor Teaching publishes general classroom-planning information for working educators. The resources are informational and educational in scope. They do not replace district policy, school procedures, individualized education programs, accommodations, safeguarding requirements, collective agreements, or the judgment of qualified professionals (including administrators, school counselors, nurses, and other licensed support staff).
No guarantee of fit
Teaching contexts differ by jurisdiction, grade level, subject, curriculum, and learner population. Mentor Teaching does not guarantee that any resource fits every jurisdiction, school, or learner, or that a strategy will produce a particular result. You are responsible for reviewing resources against your own context, policies, and professional obligations, and for adapting them before classroom use.
Acceptable personal classroom use
You may read, print, copy, and adapt the site's resources for your own lesson planning and classroom use, including sharing printed copies within your own classroom or school team, provided the source is not sold.
Copyright and licensing
All original text, templates, checklists, tables, and site-created illustrations on Mentor Teaching are the property of Mentor Teaching unless stated otherwise. They are made available for the personal classroom use described above.
Restrictions
- Do not republish, resell, or redistribute site content (including in paid courses, marketplaces, or compilation products) without written permission.
- Do not remove or alter copyright, attribution, or source notices.
- Do not present site materials as your own original work.
- Do not use site content to build competing content libraries, train commercial models, or scrape the site at scale.
- Do not submit student data through the site's forms or use the site in a way that violates student-privacy laws or your district's policies.
Resources that reference third-party books, standards, or organizations remain subject to those owners' rights. For example, lesson activities built around a published children's book assume you have a lawful copy of that book and comply with its publisher's terms.
Third-party links
The site links to external sources for supporting evidence. Those sites operate under their own terms and privacy policies. A link is a citation, not an endorsement or control over the third party's content.
Limitation of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. While the site aims to keep sources and guidance current, educational research and policy change, and errors can occur. See the Editorial and Corrections Policy for how the site handles errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mentor Teaching is not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the site or its resources, including decisions made in reliance on site content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Corrections
If you find an error or an outdated source, report it through the contact page. The site reviews reports and corrects confirmed errors; corrected pages receive a new revision date.
Governing contact and changes
Questions about these terms should be sent to work@laclear.us. The operator may revise these terms by updating this page; the revision date above will change, and continued use after a revision means you accept the revised terms. Your use of the site is also subject to the Privacy Policy.
