Cookie and Advertising Disclosure
Last revised August 14, 2026
This page explains what the site stores on your device and how advertising would work if and when it is enabled. The short version: the site currently uses no advertising and no third-party trackers, and it does not store anything on your device before you make a privacy choice.
What the site currently uses
- Essential storage: the site is a static website; serving pages requires no cookies. A small first-party record of your privacy choice is stored only after you make one, so the site can honor it on later visits.
- Analytics storage: none. The site does not currently use third-party analytics.
- Advertising storage: none. Advertising is not currently enabled, so no advertising cookies, web beacons, or similar identifiers are set.
When advertising is enabled
This section is conditional: it describes what will happen only after the operator enables advertising with an approved account. Nothing in this section is active today.
- Personalized advertising: third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites.
- Non-personalized advertising: vendors may also serve ads that use only contextual information (for example, the page topic) with no cookie-based personalization.
- Third-party advertising vendors: the current vendor list will be published on this page when advertising is configured. It will include Google AdSense and any approved additional vendors.
- Consent choices: before any advertising storage occurs, the site will ask for your choices. You may accept, refuse, or manage purposes granularly. Refusing advertising consent will not block access to any article or resource.
- How to reopen choices: use the "Privacy choices" control in the footer of every page, at any time, to review or revoke what you accepted.
How advertising supports the site
Advertising, when enabled, helps cover hosting and maintenance costs. It is one way the site can keep its resources free for educators. The site will never require you to view or accept advertising to read content.
Editorial separation
Editorial content and advertisements are kept strictly separate. Advertisements appear only on qualifying article pages, in clearly labeled containers marked "Advertisements," and never inside navigation, forms, legal pages, search results, error pages, templates, or print views. Advertisers do not control which articles are written, which conclusions articles reach, or how sources are selected. No article is written to promote an advertiser, and no payment influences editorial decisions.
Managing your choices
Open the "Privacy choices" control in the footer to review purposes, accept or refuse them, or revoke a previous choice. You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser's settings. For details on what data the site collects, see the Privacy Policy. To learn how Google uses data when serving advertising, visit Google's advertising page; to control personalized advertising, visit Google Ad Settings.
