The Paper Stars

For the hallway display, Jae folded paper stars while the rest of the group cut out large circles. Jae lined up each corner before pressing the crease, smoothed every fold with a ruler, and checked that the two points matched. When one star tilted, Jae unfolded it and measured the edges again. The work took longer, but each star looked even. “You are meticulous,” the art teacher said as Jae placed the finished row on the board.
