Complete group
One matched set containing both named quantities. For 3 stars:5 circles, a complete group has 3 stars and 5 circles.
Ratio order
The first number names the first quantity and the second names the second quantity. Stars:circles = 3:5 is different from circles:stars = 5:3.
Equivalent ratios
Different counts with the same relationship. Two complete 3:5 groups give 6:10. A smaller version may also be equivalent when the quantities permit it.
Ratio table
Keep each labeled pair in the same row. The row 6 stars, 10 circles corresponds to two complete 3-and-5 groups.

A note about addition
Adding another complete 3:5 group is valid. Adding 3 to both numbers to make 6:8 does not preserve this unequal relationship.
