Discuss a club feedback route
Invented decision: Should a club keep both written notes and a spoken circle for giving feedback? Text C — Choice slips: 18 members responded; 11 preferred writing and 7 preferred speaking. Text D — One circle trial: a facilitator noted a specific reason in 6 of 8 recorded contributions. Two members gave no recorded contribution. The note does not say whether every member had an opportunity or whether writing was tried.
Prepare one recommendation, name a detail and its text, explain its relevance and a limit. Exchange ideas with a partner, by notes or another agreed route. Respond fairly to one different idea with a reason/detail. If working with the teacher, they may read this supplied proposal: ‘I would keep the circle because six contributions included reasons; perhaps writing can be optional.’ Your reply should engage that proposal rather than merely repeat it. Finally explain why your view stayed, changed or became more qualified and what evidence you would seek next. Record your point and the actual other idea/reply, or use your agreed communication route.
