Use this optional sheet for a class, small group or teaching episode. No learner names are needed. Keep any notes under your usual school procedures. It is a planning aid, not a scored report or information-submission form.

Example of a teaching decision
On the Mill Pond task, a group names the earlier pond and later street/depot features, but attributes the change to the Back Bay contractor. The map comparison is supported; place-specific explanation is not. Use Clarify the Source and ask students to identify the report’s named place. Then use the later Essex task to see whether they keep explanation within the evidence. This is an illustrative planning example, not an account of classroom results.
