Two Planning Tools

This passage describes an invented setting and events.

At the fictional Linden Exhibition Club, students used two tools to plan a display. A picture board let them move sketches of possible exhibits beside one another. They could compare arrangements quickly before choosing one, but the board did not record who would bring each item. A written checklist named the chosen items, the person responsible for each one and the day it was needed. Students used it to check their preparations. The checklist did not show how a different arrangement might look.

When the club was still choosing an arrangement, it used the picture board. After choosing, it used the checklist to divide and check the work. If students changed the arrangement later, they returned to the board and then updated the list. They used the tools at different stages because each recorded information the other did not.

Read or listen to the whole passage. You may look back at it. Work before discussing answers. Use your own wording; exact words from a title or a useful term are fine. A short accurate answer is better than adding a claim the passage does not support.

This text compares tools across two paragraphs. Explain the whole relationship, not just one tool. This adds a different organization demand.
